Why We Promote Reverse Mortgages

The Orchestra Toronto is well known not only as a great orchestra band but also as a staunch supporter of reverse mortgages. A lot of people have asked and wondered why we promote reverse mortgages. The answer lies in our style of music and the audience.  

Being a large orchestra we noticed that a large section of our audience and fans are seniors or those approaching 60. Our strong sense of social responsibility and our strong desire to make a difference and affect our audience positively made us seek out a positive message to pass on to our audience. We then decided on promoting reverse mortgage loans because of its significance and the important role it can play in the lives of senior citizens.  

Reverse mortgage loans are specifically designed for seniors as a means of helping them access credit and to improve their standard of living. The qualifying criteria for these loans include owning and residing in your home and being up to age 62. A lot of seniors have benefited from reverse mortgages as it helps them use their homes to access credit. For many of these retired ones, taking care of their daily expenses is a problem. Then there is the problem of rising health costs or other necessities. 

With a reverse mortgage loan, seniors with homes no longer have to be a burden on their children or anyone again. They do not have to move out of their familiar surroundings when they can’t meet the maintenance costs. Funds from a reverse mortgage loan can adequately take care of home repairs and renovations, taxes, health costs and even a well deserved vacation. 

The Orchestra Toronto remains an advocate of reverse mortgages because we are aware and have seen the positives benefits that the loans can have on people.
